RBS head of group comms to take up client role with WPP

Andrew Wilson, the current head of group communications at RBS is set to leave the bank to take up a client facing role with WPP.

Working across a number of WPP clients, including RBS, Andrew's role will also entail securing new business for the WPP's group of agencies.

Andrew joined the bank in October 2003 as head of media relations before working as a deputy chief economist in 2007, becoming head of group communications in October 2010.

Previous to joining RBS Andrew worked as a columnist for the Sunday Mail from 1999 to 2003 as well as serving as a member of the Scottish Parliament and a member of the Scottish Shadow Cabinet.

He is also a trustee of the John Smith Memorial Trust and serving director of Motherwell Football Club.
